Rushlight Noise Abatement Award 2007
Les and colleagues were delighted to travel to London on 10th December 2007 to be awarded the Rushlight Noise Abatement Award 2007 for Sound Dead Steel's products contribution to noise and vibration control.
Sound Dead Steel now manufacture superb acoustic enclosures using this material. A recent client testimonial confirms how efficient these enclosures are.
A Prima Platino 2040 laser profiler is currently being installed, it has a 4m x 2m cutting bed with automatic pallet changing so in the new year we will be able to offer a laser profiling service in conventional or SDS metals.

John Connell Technology Award
Sound Dead Steel received the John Connell Technology Award 2005 from DEFRA and the Noise Abatement Society. They attended the House of Commons to be presented with the award by Lord Witty. The award was given because of the simple hi tech fix Sound Dead Steel has on vibration and also the dramatic reduction it achieves in noise levels when incorporated in acoustic enclosures and machine guarding.

The winner of the John Connell Award 2005 for Technology was Sound Dead Steel., for their product which significantly reduces the transmission of impact noise with applications for almost any metal surface including panels, hoppers, chutes, rail, hi-fi, drilling platforms, ductwork, pumps, compressors, in fact any metal surface which is receiving or transmitting vibrations can significantly benefit in noise reduction terms.
