Testimonials

The swarf tower was finally installed in the cabinet this morning.

When the machine was switched on, we thought we had a problem with the electrics, because no sound was coming from the cabinet.

Then we opened the cabinet door...

In a word, fantastic !

I shall be placing an order for the second cabinet.

Brief Description      86dB(A) whine from a hydraulic pump silenced with an SDS "Whisperer" acoustic enclosure
Date      Nov 06
Location
Value      £
Overview

Our client was looking to reduce the noise levels from a hydraulic pump, which while not deafening, 86dB(A), the frequency exceeded to the second action level  (see "www.hse.gov.uk/noise/faqs.htm") where the employer is required to take reasonable and practical measures to reduce the noise levels.

When the enclosure was shut and the pump turned on full the pump noise outside the enclosure was not noticeable and did not register on the noise meter. The heath and safety officer asked if the pump was running and had to check the control panel to verify that it was operating!!

The enclosure was designed then manufactured by SDS using 2mm Sonphonon galvanised steel & lined with SDS high mass accoustic foam.

A video of this acoustic enclosure is shown in the video clips section http://www.sounddeadsteel.com/videos.asp
